Forgive me if this has been said already, but a surprising amount of future bass comes from the music theory behind it. Definitely worth looking into some deeper chord progression theory type stuff once you have the sounds down in your mega synth plugin of choice, a lot a lot of that sound comes from dissonant harmonies spread waaaaaaaay out across octave ranges and then layered with other sounds.
This plugin could work well for synthwave, synthpop and other retro 80s genres. Vintage Drum Elements comes with five drum kits, one FX set and four instruments: Yamaha RX5 Kit 1; Yamaha RX5 Kit 2; Synthetic Kit; Ethnic Kit; FX; DX Bass; DX Clavecin; DX Marimba; DX Orchestra; Yamaha RX21; Overall, I think it sounds great. Maybe even too great
lUUICa4. Electro house is a genre of house music and electronic dance music (EDM) characterized by heavy bass, heavy percussive elements, complex rhythms, ear-catching synths, and a tempo of around 130 beats per minute (BPM). Electro house’s signature sound comes in the form of large bass drum sounds and synths created by sawtooth waves and distortion.
As the tapestry of electronic music’s diverse genres unfurls, it reveals drops that resonate in myriad ways—through dubstep’s wobble bass, trap’s 808-driven intensity, drum and bass’s adrenaline-infused pulse, future bass’s emotive beauty, big room house’s communal grandeur, and hardstyle’s unyielding energy.
It is still possible that it will fade out with remnants dispersing back into Breakbeat, Drum ‘n’ Bass or other super-genres. If not, UK Garage should seriously be considered as the 24th super-genre, depending on future evolutions and how its interaction with contemporary Hip-Hop music (Trap, Ghettotech, Wonky) will turn out.
The Reese bass is a deep, rolling sound mostly popularized in drum and bass. However, it can also be used in other genres such as synth-wave and modern pop. Believe it or not, we are going to achieve this sound with just one oscillator! Load up Vital and choose a sawtooth wave from Basic Shapes. The key of the Reese bass lies in the Unison Voices:
