With Ultimate Edition for PS3 you install all addons at start before playing using the PS3 menu one menu item down from the play/run DAO, there should be additional/downloads type menu item below it in PS3 menu before loading game itself. Just install all of them from there then play DAO like normal, some of the DLC will be availble in game
I just bought the ultimate edition and I activated the base game through the origin site. I have the option to play awakening but I have a "dlc key" as well - do I have to activate this or is it already in the game?
Also, generally, the UE is cheaper than purchasing Awakening and all of the DLC separately. The only time it is beneficial to buy individual DLC over the UE is when you already own some of it and the remaining DLC would be cheaper than buying the UE. R.I.P. However some dlcs like warden's keep and stone prisoner, which add more locations and characters, are shown as enabled in the game but their locations or npcs

My Ultimate Edition is not downloading the DLC either. I'm reinstalling it, and I don't recall having this issue before. (In fact, the title screen only says Dragon Age Origins, not Ultimate Edition). All of the DLC shows up as unpurchased.
